Reading a license is never a pleasure, so we have tried to be as concise as possible with this license, both in the terms used and in how the different licenses are organized and structured, in order to simplify their understanding and their use. A copy of the appropriate license is delivered in .PDF format with the purchase of each typeface. This current License Agreement is established between the “User” and Électro-bibliothèque, a simplified joint stock company with a share capital of 2,000 euros, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under the number 903 531 770, whose headquarters are located at 10, rue Saint-Nicolas, 75012 Paris, France.
The “License” is intended to mean this current license agreement. The “File” is intended to mean a typeface designed by Électro-bibliothèque (e.g. Regular, Italic, Rotated, etc.). The “User” is intended to mean any person who has purchased, downloaded and installed the File from www.electrobibliotheque.org.
By purchasing, downloading and installing the file, the user does not become the owner of the file, but only acquires a non-exclusive and non-transferable authorization to use the file under the conditions provided and detailed by the license that is selected upon purchasing the file. The conditions of use are listed in the paragraph “Scope and permissions of the license”. The use of the file is not limited to a number of users within the same company or the same studio, nor is the use limited to a specific period of time. The use of the file for the Web can only be done with the secure technology @font-face, and the file must be used in the formats .WOFF and .WOFF2. No limits are set as to the number of Internet sites, domain names, monthly views or number of visitors per month, irrespective of the terminal of consultation used (computer, smartphone, tablet, etc.). The user may use the file for any client according to the license chosen upon purchase. The user may deliver any document or media to their client that does not require the installation of the file, without the client having to acquire a license. In any case or cases where the delivery of documents and/or support provided may require the installation of the file, the client must acquire a license in their own name from the site www.electrobibliotheque.org.
The destination of use is more important to us than the number of users of the file, as we believe that a printed document, a website, a logo or a video do not have the same scope. The use of the file is determined by the license chosen upon purchase:
License XS (Desktop) This license authorizes the use of the file for the creation of documents intended to be printed.
License S (Desktop, Web) This license authorizes the use of the file for the creation of documents intended to be printed. This license authorizes the use of the file for the creation of one or more websites.
License M (Desktop, Web, Social Media/Digital, App) This license authorizes the use of the file for the creation of documents intended to be printed. This license authorizes the use of the file for the creation of one or more websites. This license authorizes the use of the file for the creation of visuals for social networks such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and TikTok. This license authorizes the use of the file for the creation of mobile or tablet applications.
License L (Desktop, Web, Social Media/Digital, App, ePub) This license authorizes the use of the file for the creation of documents intended to be printed. This license authorizes the use of the file for the creation of one or more websites. This license authorizes the use of the file for the creation of visuals for social networks such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and TikTok. This license authorizes the use of the file for the creation of smartphone or tablet applications. This license authorizes the use of the file for the creation of e-books.
License XL (Desktop, Web, Social Media/Digital, App, ePub, Logo, Video) This license authorizes the use of the file for the creation of documents intended to be printed. This license authorizes the use of the file for the creation of one or more websites. This license authorizes the use of the file for the creation of visuals for social networks such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and TikTok. This license authorizes the use of the file for the creation of smartphone or tablet applications. This license authorizes the use of the file for the creation of e-books. This license authorizes the use of the file for the creation of logos; for the integration of text in a movie, for the creation of animated images or content broadcast on television or any other type of video platform like YouTube or Netflix.
In the case where the purchase of a license no longer corresponds to the use that the user wishes to make of the file, it is possible to write to us at [email protected], we will proceed to the update of the license and will send you an invoice corresponding to the price of the new desired license by deducting the price of the license initially acquired. It is not possible to downgrade your license and request a refund.
